Plans, pricing and product limits

Understand the differences between our Free and Pro plans.

Tabs+ has two plans - a free tier so you can try the app and use it on a small store, and Pro for everything else.

How the product limit works

The Free plan limits you to 5 products with custom Tabs+ content. A product counts toward the limit if it has any tabs added or any custom titles/descriptions saved through Tabs+. Products you haven't touched in Tabs+ don't count.

  • If you've reached the limit, the Publish changes button is disabled when you try to add custom content to another product. A banner explains this and offers an upgrade button.

  • If you previously had unlimited content (e.g. on a free trial) and then went back to the Free plan with too many customised products, you can still view all your content but can't edit it until you remove customisations from products to get under the limit, or upgrade.

  • Pro has no product limit - customise as many products as you like.

Free trial

When you first subscribe to a paid plan, Tabs+ gives you the first 14 days free. You won't be charged until the trial expires, and you can cancel during the trial without being billed.

The trial only applies the first time you upgrade from Free to a paid plan. If you cancel and resubscribe later, the original trial period applies; you won't get another fresh trial.

Switching plans

  1. Open the Tabs+ admin and go to Settings.

  2. In the Subscription card, click Change plan.

  3. Pick the plan you want and click Select plan.

  4. Shopify will ask you to approve the new charge. Once you confirm, the change is live immediately.

Cancelling

  1. Go to Settings in Tabs+.

  2. In the Subscription card, click Cancel subscription.

  3. Confirm in the popup.

You'll be moved back to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period. Your existing tab content is preserved - just not all of it will be editable if you have more than 5 customised products.

Billing & invoices

Tabs+ uses Shopify's app billing. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice alongside your store subscription. Refunds, billing questions, and invoices are all handled through Shopify's billing system.

If your account uses external billing or has a comped subscription, the Settings page will say so - in that case, plan changes need to go through us. Email [email protected].

Discounts

From time to time we may offer discounts that reduce your monthly price. If a discount is available on your account, it appears on the plan-selection screen with the discounted amount displayed alongside the standard price.
